leap for a day

Happy Leap Day! Yay! We get to leap all day today! Act like a froggy. Go ahead...I'll wait...................Done?

Now on with the Leap Day. It's an extra day. How sweet is that! Ok, well, yeah...it IS an extra day of work and school...BUT it's a day that doesn't really exist...yet it does!

There is so much you could do if you had an extra day. You could fly to Paris. You could get a law degree. You could ride a kangaroo because they leap in a hoppy sort of way.

Today we can finally catch up with the earth going around the sun. We've been late. It's good to be on time again.

It's also a good excuse to use the word "leap" in exclamations. Here are some examples:

"Hey! I need this report done in five minutes!"

"Leapin' Lizards!!!!!!!"

or...

"There's a hippo in the bathroom!"

"Leapin' Lemurs!!!!!!"

or

"Look out! Twinkie the Kid is trying to lasso you!"

"Leapin' Llamas!!!!!"

or

"Hot Diggity! There's a special on all the Presidents on TV tonight!"

"Leapin' Lincoln!!!!!!!"

or (sorry...but this is too much fun to stop)

"My zip code is 01056!"

"Leapin' Ludlow!!!!!!!"

or...ok...I'm done...but you get the point.

Do it all day today. Heck, just go to "L" in the dictionary and find all the fun words you can "leap" with.

I'm off to leap with the lions.
